BICSI Winter 2024 Conference

Two of JDRM Engineering’s 5 RCDD BICSI certified members traveled to sunny Florida last week to attend the BICSI 2024 winter conference. They learned a lot about the rise of Smart Buildings, Fault Managed Power (FMP), Enabling Wireless Connectivity, Sustainability, Integrating Artificial Intelligence, and Building for Tomorrow. Perspectives were given with multiple generations working together and delivering smarter buildings and a more interconnected and intelligent future. One Keynote speaker spoke about a company working on building data centers on the Moon. They are launching the first experimental data storage system to the moon this week utilizing a Falcon 9 Rocket from SpaceX. With plans for expanding to satellites orbiting the moon, more surface-based storage units and in 8 years data centers will be built underground in caves on the moon.
