North Baltimore Sports Complex

After many years of hard work, planning, fundraising and designing North Baltimore local school district has completed their Sports Complex. JDRM designed 3 phases that covered a seven-year period.

The North Baltimore Sports Complex consisted of 3 phases. Phase 1 was the renovation of a concession stand, new softball and baseball field with a press box building and dugouts, sound system and lighting. Phase 2 was an additional parking lot and ticket booths. Phase 3 was a football field with running track, home and visitor press boxes, bleachers, starting blocks, scoreboards, security cameras and an irrigation system.

For phases 1 & 2 existing electrical and technology infrastructure was extended to the buildings from existing field house nearby. For phase 3 customer owned primary distribution was extended from the owner’s high voltage sectionalizer to a new customer owned transformer which fed 480V and 208V distribution gear. Fiber was extended to the press boxes from the existing high school and existing field house. Additional security cameras and data outlets were fed from new network racks installed in each press box.

JDRM provided full MEPT design services including estimating, and construction administration. The project covered several year spans from 2015 to 2022.
